June 15th 2023, we held our kick-off meeting with our new Lung Cancer Working Group , following our principle of representation by multiple stakeholders, supporting efficiency in lung cancer care.

    June 15th 2023, we held our kick-off meeting with our new Lung Cancer Working Group , following our principle of representation by multiple stakeholders, supporting efficiency in lung cancer care.

    We are very proud that Professor Dr. Ingel Demedts has accepted to be the chair of our LCWG. Professor Demedts has been active as a pulmonologist/thoracic oncologist in AZ Delta since 2009 and has extensive clinical experience in the diagnosis and treatment of lung cancer. He is also a visiting professor at Ghent University. In addition, he is also a Principal Investigator in AZ Delta for more than 100 studies in the field of lung cancer. He has additional interest in the use and implementation of PROMS and value based healthcare in clinical practice. Apart from being an expert in many different projects, he is currently also member of the Flemish Task Force for the implementation of lung cancer screening.
    Together with all the stakeholders , we will work together towards efficient, innovative, patient centered lung cancer care to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
